Day 2: Dublin city
On your second day, discover the history and culture of the city famous for its traditional music, theatre, literature and of course, its pubs!
We recommend visiting the Guinness Storehouse to learn about the history of the famous black stuff, Temple Bar for the unique pubs and people watching opportunities, Old Kilmainham Gaol for an insight into Ireland’s ancient history or the Dublin Writer’s Museum to explore Dublin’s literary legacy.
Day 3: Waterford (via Kilkenny)
Your driver will meet you in your hotel and discuss your plans and wishes for your trip. Then, it will be time to hit the open road to Waterford (via Kilkenny).
Drive through Wicklow and stop at the beautiful Glendalough Lake and medieval monastic church. Continue to the vibrant, medieval city of Kilkenny – discover Kilkenny castle as well as its world class arts and crafts.
Finally, arrive at your Waterford hotel and enjoy some fine dining while you unwind on Ireland’s southern coast. After dinner, take a short walk along the seafront in Ardmore village – this magical coastal walk provides an abundance of bracing Atlantic air, seabirds and wildflowers.
Day 4: Kinsale
The picturesque yachting harbour of Kinsale will be your next stop.
This is one of many colourful gems strung along the coastline of County Cork. Narrow, winding streets lined with galleries and gift shops, lively bars and superb restaurants make it an engrossing place to spend a day or two.
Visit Charlesfort – one of the largest military forts in the country and partake in a guided walking food tour of Kinsale and meet some of the local characters and producers.
Day 5: Kenmare
Make an early start and head out along the coast road on the first stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way. Enjoy the lovely little villages along the way – Timoleague, Rosscarbery and Skibbereen and have a shellfish lunch overlooking the harbour.
Continue towards the stunning Cork and Kerry Mountains, get out of the car and take in the spectacular view!
Settle into your luxurious Kerry hotel and relax after your long day of exploring.
Day 6: Ring of Kerry
Today, drive the world-famous Ring of Kerry. Experience the raw beauty of the country’s most scenic peninsula route. The combination of rugged sea, spectacular mountains and small traditional villages will not fail to impress.
Skellig Michael – a rocky island with an abandoned 7th-century Christian monastery, is a major destination point.

Head out of Kerry towards County Limerick. Visit the wonderfully restored Bunratty Castle and Folk Park to experience life in medieval Ireland. Discover the traditional village and learn about a lost way of life.
Drive out to the coast into County Clare and experience some of Ireland’s most rugged and beautiful scenery. Drive through the Burren and head for the coast towards the famous Cliffs of Moher – the Cliffs are simply a must-see sight in Ireland.
Have a well-deserved rest and a bite to eat in the stunning 5* Ashford Castle.

The best Ireland itinerary for 10 days would not be complete without experiencing the Connemara loop.

Have your lunch in the Kylemore cafe and enjoy produce from the Victorian walled garden.
